Local Yokel

I don't know if was planting my garden or the beautiful weather, but I had the overwhelming urge to pick strawberries.  I haven't picked strawberries since my mom took us when I was little.  I remember it being awesome, and it was.  Check out this cuteness.

Strawberry picking
Yep that's my strawberry girl! She loved it! I should've taken before and after pictures because she was covered in strawberries. Apparently the best part is squishing them!!! They also had fresh asparagus at the farm so you know I had to have it, and local honey.  Then I stopped at another farm to get fresh eggs.  I have been looking forward to this all spring.   I keep telling my husband if he let me get chickens in our backyard we could have fresh eggs all the time.  He's not budging, I think its all that chicken poop.

Fresh eggs!

And after finding this awesome recipe from La Kocinera I made this!
